Reporting & Export Engine (M7)

Overview

The Reporting Engine provides a unified export system for all ORIC data — from individual module exports to full Annex bundles and HEC scorecards. Exports are queued, audited, and delivered via email notification.

Export Types

Scorecard	HEC-oriented scorecard with all four sections flattened for export
Annex-A Bundle	Institutional profile, ORIC staffing, committees, IRB, ICT/web presence
Annex-B Bundle	Grant proposals (submitted/approved/completed), funding breakdowns, PI performance
Annex-C Bundle	Policies, IP disclosures, patents, licenses, industry visits
Annex-D Bundle	Revenue lines, capacity building, audited statements
Full Annex Bundle	Complete Annex-A through Annex-D export
Publications	Publication inventory with journal categories, departments, status
Grants	Grant proposals with financials, lifecycle stages, departments
Innovation	Policies, IP, patents, licenses, industry visits (selectable subsets)
Sustainability	Revenue, capacity building, audited statements (selectable subsets)
Governance	Staffing, committees, IRB, ICT/web presence (selectable subsets)
KPI Report	All calculated KPIs across all modules

Export Formats

• CSV — Default format; compatible with Excel, Google Sheets, and HEC submission tools
• JSON — For system integration and API consumption

Requesting an Export

1. Navigate to Reporting > Exports
2. Select the Export Type
3. Choose the Reporting Period (optional for some types)
4. Select Format (CSV or JSON)
5. Apply any additional filters (status, category, department)
6. Click Generate Export
7. Receive email notification when the export is ready
8. Download from the export history page

Export Job Queue

Large exports are processed asynchronously. Job statuses:

• Pending — Queued for processing
• Processing — Currently being generated
• Completed — Ready for download
• Failed — Error occurred (check error message)

Filters & Dimensions

All exports support filtering by:

• Reporting period
• Department / research center
• Workflow status
• Publication journal category (W/X/Y)
• Grant lifecycle stage
• IP jurisdiction (national/international)
• Revenue scope (national/international)
• Capacity building activity type

Audit & Compliance

Every export request is logged with actor, timestamp, export type, filters, and result status. Completed exports record file path and size for traceability.

Notifications

When an export completes, the requesting user receives an email with a download link. Administrators and ORIC staff can also monitor the export queue for pending and failed jobs.
